This stunning stem plant features a broad crown and has the ability to remain relatively compact. Under intense lighting, it develops striking orange-brown hues. Its growth pattern is distinctive, as it doesn’t branch out easily like other stem plants, giving it an almost rosette-like appearance. This plant is an excellent choice for aquascaping, suitable for use in the midground, foreground, or any spot you prefer.
Ludwigia is a versatile plant, but to get the desirable bright colors, you must provide high lighting and nutrient levels. High iron content will bring out more red tones in the plant. CO2 injection is not required for the cultivation of this plant, but can help it grow more robustly. The plant can be grown submersed or emersed, but it is much more difficult to cultivate in the emersed form. A beautiful stem plant with mesmerizing leaf pattern and brick-red color with elongated oval-shaped leaves.

Tissue culture plants should be removed from the cup as soon as possible. All plants grow on some sort of synthetic growing medium, ranging anywhere from liquid to jelly to firm gel. This should be removed and rinsed off. Gently massage the roots between your fingers until the gel dissolves away. Most plants can be broken up into smaller pieces and spread out in your aquarium. Smaller pieces are easier to plant.
